11,000 guests expected at 2008 Vancouver Wedding Fair

According to local paper 24hrs reporter Dharm Makwana more than 11,000 guests are expected at Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre to meet 150 vendors, have chances to win more than $300,000 in prizes, and, as always, take in the latest styles for wedding gowns. Read the full story here.

There are no hard rules to what a wedding cake is or isn’t. Classic tiered round wedding cakes never go out of style and can be decorated in so many ways. Something as simple as a slightly different shape, square wedding cakes or hexagon wedding cakes offer a refreshing look that is also very timeless.
Mini-cakes or cupcakes have been popular for a while now and make an excellent choice for weddings. They offer the ability to offer different flavors for your guests ensuring everyone will find something they like. Simply stack cake plates, use a cupcake tree, or use cardboard boxes (in different sizes) wrapped in heavy foil for a dramatic display. Cake toppers and other décor can easily be incorporated into the wedding cupcake presentation.
Whether you opt for a more traditional wedding cake or offer each guest a choice of unique cupcakes, remember to keep in mind where you will display your cake (outside vs inside) plus your décor theme for making a great impact.
